Find answers to the most common questions about our heat pump dryers, DC inverter units, ordering process, and support services.
A heat pump dryer is an energy-efficient drying system that uses a heat pump cycle to extract moisture from materials. It works by evaporating moisture from the product using warm air, then condensing that moisture out of the air using a refrigeration cycle, and recycling the dried air back into the drying chamber. This closed-loop or semi-closed approach can reduce energy consumption by 50-70% compared to traditional electric or fuel-fired dryers.
Heat pump dryers offer several key advantages over traditional drying (electric heating, fuel-fired, sun drying): Energy savings of 50–70%, precise temperature and humidity control for better product quality, consistent results regardless of weather conditions, lower operating costs over the equipment lifetime, environmentally friendly operation with no direct emissions, and automated control reducing labor requirements. The initial investment is higher but payback is typically achieved within 1-3 years depending on usage.
Energy consumption varies by model, material type, and target moisture level. Our standard heat pump dryers typically achieve a COP (Coefficient of Performance) of 3.5–4.5, meaning they produce 3.5–4.5 kWh of heat for every 1 kWh of electricity consumed. For example, a mid-size dryer processing 500kg of material per batch might consume approximately 15–25 kWh of electricity per cycle, compared to 60–80 kWh for an equivalent electric resistance dryer.
Space requirements depend on your capacity needs. Our smallest units (for home/small workshop use) require approximately 2m × 2m floor area. Industrial-scale units range from 4m × 6m up to 10m × 20m or more. In addition to the dryer itself, you'll need adequate clearance for airflow, maintenance access (minimum 80cm around the unit), and space for loading/unloading. We provide detailed layout drawings as part of every project proposal.
Absolutely! Customization is one of our core strengths. We design bespoke drying solutions based on your specific material properties (initial/final moisture content, thermal sensitivity, shape, size), required capacity, available space, energy cost constraints, and quality standards. Our engineering team conducts material testing when needed and provides complete technical proposals including equipment specifications, layout drawings, energy consumption estimates, and ROI analysis — all free of charge during the quotation phase.
Transfrio products carry multiple certifications: ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System Certification, CE Marking for European market compliance, Quality Inspection Certificate from China's Ministry of Agriculture for our heat pump dryers. We also hold 16 invention patents and 9 software copyrights. For specific certification requirements in your country/region (such as UL, CSA, AS/NZS, etc.), please contact our sales team — we can work toward additional certifications for large orders.
All Transfrio products come with a comprehensive warranty: 12 months for the complete unit covering manufacturing defects in components and assembly, plus 3 years for the compressor (the core component). The warranty includes free replacement parts and remote technical support. On-site service is available within the warranty period at no additional labor charge (travel costs may apply for remote locations). Extended warranty packages are available for purchase. Please refer to your specific sales contract for full terms and conditions.
Standard models typically have a lead time of 15–30 working days from order confirmation to factory dispatch. Custom-engineered units may require 35–60 working days depending on complexity. Shipping time varies by destination: sea freight to most international ports takes 20–45 days; air freight takes 7–14 days. We provide a detailed production schedule upon order confirmation and keep you updated throughout the manufacturing process.
Yes! We offer turnkey solutions including: site assessment and preparation guidance, equipment delivery and installation by our technicians or certified local partners, system commissioning and performance testing, operator training (typically 1–3 days covering daily operation, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting basics), and provision of complete documentation (operation manual, wiring diagram, spare parts list, test reports). Installation and training are included in our standard pricing for most projects; please confirm details with your sales representative.
Our standard payment terms for export orders are: 30% deposit by T/T upon order confirmation, 70% balance before shipment (after inspection and video confirmation). For larger orders or established customers, we can discuss flexible arrangements such as Letter of Credit (L/C), DP/DA, or staged payments aligned with production milestones. We accept payments in USD, EUR, CNY, and other major currencies. All prices quoted are FOB Chengdu unless otherwise specified; CIF/DDP options are available upon request.
Our after-sales commitment includes: Lifetime technical support via email, WhatsApp, and phone (response within 24 hours); Spare parts supply with most common parts shipped within 48 hours; Remote diagnostics where applicable (our newer IoT-enabled units support remote monitoring); Annual maintenance recommendations to maximize equipment lifespan; and access to our growing network of local service partners worldwide. With "Quality First, Customers First" as our guiding principle, we treat every customer relationship as a long-term partnership.
